Artist Statement

The prominent feature of my painting is “WOMAN” as the symbol of fertility and the epitome of greenness in nature.

Woman who in ancient IRAN had equal standing with man, over the vast territory of IRAN now by the “TALIBANI” look and behavior toward woman kind under the imposed veil, must shoulder the hardship and austerity of dogmatism. The body of the woman has been denied.

The sight of her breast, in which the sap of life resides, even glimpsed through clothing, is an unforgiveable sin.

I as a humiliated gender in this monolithic system of thinking, seek to depict a dormant protest to show that the depiction of woman has to be gnostic and celestial.

In the beauty of this body, I see the beauty of God’s thought anthropomorphized within the microcosm.
